On Saturday, December 9th, the Asia-Pacific Law Institute, together with the Korea-China Law Society, the Korea-China Law Society, and the Inha University China Law Center, hosted an academic conference entitled "Changes and Challenges: New Trends in China's Legal System" at Jusan Hall (Room 301) of the 100th Anniversary Hall(Bldg.17), Seoul National University. The conference was held by hybrid way of online and offline. At the opening ceremony, Ms. Sunhee Kang (President of the Korea-China Law Society) delivered an opening speech, and Prof. Youngjin Jung(President of the Korea-China Law Society) and Prof. Seongwook Heo (Director of the Asia-Pacific Law Institute) delivered congratulatory remarks. At the conference, presentations and discussions were held on topics such as 'Chinese Legal Glossary (2023 Edition)', 'Overview of the Law on Protection of Virtual Asset Users', 'China's Personal Information Protection Law and Offshore Transfer of Personal Information Rules', and 'Witness Depositions in Civil Proceedings in China', and concluded with a closing speech by Prof. Chung Young-hwan (Advisor to the Korea-China Law Society).
